African-American hair, in all it’s glory and struggle, has come to the White House. The beautiful new First Lady Michelle Obama’s hair has long been subject of blog discussion. After all, when you’re in the public eye every minute of every day, you just can’t have a bad hair day!
Mrs. O’s has tried out a variety of styles, many of which appear to involve weaves and extensions, and she looks more gorgeous all the time. We love Mrs O’s confidence and style – and her demonstration that fashion should be fun.
It will be interesting to see whether the lovely First Lady’s hair ever goes more natural look as she gets more comfortable in her public role.

Now, Johnny Wright, long-time hairstylist to first lady, is going to host his own reality TV makeover show, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Will locks, twists, braids, extensions, and weaves be featured? We bet they will!

Michelle Obama does not wear a weave. Her hair is naturally very thick and shoulder-length. She does relax her hair, but it is all hers.
