It is better to replace them. Your stylist can help you decide when your extensions, braids or weave should be replaced.

How are Pro10 Hair Extensions, weaves and braids applied?
There are several ways Ultima Pro 10 hair extensions can be applied, but there are basically three different methods1- Sewing in which hair extension fiber is sewn onto tracks of braids made from your own hair

It is also called Hair integration or Hair Intensification. The hair is woven to the root area of your hair so that it grows naturally with the your own hair.

2- Strand methods in which individual strands are applied to your hair with a variety of techniques including:

a. Cold fusion ? tiny pieces of fiber are attached to thin strands of your own hair with tiny aluminum tubes which are crimped.
b. Tied – Another cold fusion method ties extension fiber onto the natural hair.

3- Bonding – any method of applying hair extensions using a removable adhesive. Because there is no weft or track with bonding, there is less bulk at the scalp.

4- Two increasingly popular new methods are clip on extensions and the new stocking cap method.

Can I use extensions to add fullness and volume without adding length?
Yes. Clip on pieces and cold fusion are particularly effective ways to use hair extensions to achieve greater volume.

Can I add highlights to my hair extensions?
You cannot dye Ultima Pro 10 hair extensions but you can easily add strands or wefts of different colors to add highlights. Also, the fiber is available with highlights already included.Top ^

Will my extensions fall out?
When applied by a professional stylist it is extremely unlikely that your extensions will fall out or come loose.

How are hair extensions removed?
That depends on the method used to add your extensions, braids, or weaves. As your own hair grows while the extensions are in it, they extensions loosen slightly, making them easier to remove.

Do I need a special comb or brush for my hair extensions?
No, but it is best to comb or brush extensions from the bottom up, and to use special leave-in conditioner sold in beauty supply shops and salons. If you need to de-tangle your extensions, mist the hair with a little water. Use a wide-toothed comb and gently comb out tangles from bottom of the hair, upward to the top.

Will people be able to tell I have hair extensions?
When professionally applied, the attachment point of Pro 10 hair extensions is virtually undetectable after styling.

Can I wear my hair up when I have hair extensions?
Sure! You can put it in ponytails, twists, and pigtails, French braids. Have fun!Top ^

Does it hurt? Will they pull out my hair?
No! The tension should be even all over your head with no points pulling or hurting. Do not put up with someone telling you it has to be really tight in order to be secure. Pulling your hair out is not the idea. You will know you have something on your head for the first day or two but after that it?s likely that you won’t even feel that they are there.

How long does it take to apply hair extensions, braids or weaves?
That depends on the look you want to achieve and the method your professional stylist uses to apply your Pro 10 hair made with Ultima.

How much hair do I need?
Ladies with thin hair wear ? pound. However, you may need more than ? pound if: Your hair is thick, you have heavy layers or a bob cut, you are wearing 18″ or longer.
