We recommend that you wrap your extensions, braids or weave in a silk scarf for sleeping.
How about when I work out?
No need to do anything special to your Ultima Organic Protein Hair extensions when you work out. You can put your hair up, put it in a ponytail; whatever is most comfortable for you.
Can I cut my extensions?
Yes, using scissors. Ultima Organic Protein Hair responds very well to scissor cutting. Use of a razor is not recommended.

How are Ultima Organic Protein Hair Extensions, weaves and braids applied?
There are several waysUltima Organic Protein Hair extensions can be applied, but there are basically three different methods:
1. Sewing in which hair extension fiber is sewn onto tracks of braids made from your own hair It is also called Hair integration or Hair Intensification. The hair is woven to the root area of your hair so that it grows naturally with the your own hair.
2. Strand methods in which individual strands are applied to your hair with a variety of techniques including:
a. Cold fusion — tiny pieces of fiber are attached to thin strands of your own hair with tiny aluminum tubes which are crimped.
b. Another cold fusion method ties extension fiber onto the natural hair.
3. Bonding — any method of applying hair extensions using a removable adhesive. Because there is no weft or track with bonding, there is less bulk at the scalp.
4. Two increasingly popular new methods are clip on extensions and the new stocking cap method.
Can I use extensions to add fullness and volume without adding length?
Yes. Clip on pieces and cold fusion are particularly effective ways to use hair extensions to achieve greater volume.
Can I add highlights to my hair extensions?
You can’t dye Ultima Organic Protein Hair extensions but you can easily add strands or wefts of different colors to add highlights. Also, the fiber is available with highlights already included.
How are hair extensions removed?
That depends on the method used to add your extensions, braids, or weaves. As your own hair grows while the extensions are in it, they extensions loosen slightly, making them easier to remove.

What's a weft?
A weft is hair sewn by machine or by hand onto a very thin track. A weft looks like a little curtain of hair attached together at the top and free flowing at the bottom. Some extension stylists will custom-make wefts for you from loose hair.
Can I wear my hair up when I have hair extensions?
Sure! You can put it in ponytails, twists, and pigtails, French braids. Have fun!
Does it hurt? Will it pull out my hair?
No! The tension should be even all over your head with no points pulling or hurting. Do not put up with someone telling you it has to be really tight in order to be secure. Pulling your hair out is not the idea. You will know you have something on your head for the first day or two but after that it’s likely that you won't even feel that they are there.
How much hair do I need?
Ladies with thin hair wear _ pound. However, you may need more than 1/4 pound if: Your hair is thick, you have heavy layers or a bob cut, you are wearing 18" or longer. Because hair comes by the _ pound, when you order longer hair, you get more hair in length than in the thickness so you will more than _ pound to make it thicker.

Weft
A weft is hair sewn by machine or by hand onto a very thin track. A weft looks like a little curtain of hair attached together at the top and free flowing at the bottom. Some extension stylists will custom-make wefts for you from loose hair.
Weaving
This method is the most widely used method in adding hair extensions. Your natural hair is braided into corn rows and weft of hair extension fiber are sewn onto the cornrows.
Braiding
A process in which you add hair extensions by braiding them into the natural hair. There are many types of braiding techniques, which varies from one skilled beautician to another. Tree Braid, Braid Weave or Individuals, Cornrow, and French Braid are just to name a few.
Hot glue gun method
A process in which the extension hair is attached directly to your own hair by heated glue stick. In this method, an acrylic glue stick is placed inside a glue gun, which heats and melt the glue. Then, the hair extension and the glue are attached directly onto the individual's hair.
Bonding
Any method of attaching hair extensions with removable glue.
Clip ons
A process in which the extension hair is pre-cut and has clips attached on the weft to clip on and off to your own hair. It is very simple and easy to wear. You can put it on or take it off as you please.
